Swift brake failure
I bought a new swift last year and had it serviced a couple of days before going away in July this year. Within a week the brakes were squealing, having read various reviews this appears a common problem. However a week later the brakes completely failed with the draw bar of the caravan continually knocking into the rear of the car indicating to me a some form mechanism failure or potentially the brake shoes disintegrated.
When I pulled up at a site and applied the hand brake this failed also a rolled back.
I've taken the van straight back to the dealer who is attempting to flog me off with everything's fine we've serviced the brakes.
When I asked what the issue was that caused the failure they became defensive and said the service manager would call me back, which I'm still waiting for.
I've been towing for 20 years so tend to understand when something isn't right.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem please?

The dealer has just rung.
After pressurising them into a further examination of the brakes yesterday, actually looking in the brake drum this means (not too much to ask) they discovered brake shoes completely burnt out.
They have now replaces them.
Yesterday they were more than happy for me to collect the van with a dangerous unrectified problem having claimed to remedied the issue.
Disgraceful after sales service.
I'll probably be taking the van in for an independent inspection as I can no longer trust their work unfortunately.

I guess it just defaults to that profile,
