Serviced pitches

Well I must be doing something wrong. On a non-serviced pitch, I fill our Aquaroll at least once a day and sometimes twice!

Using this unrepresentative year as an example of availability, of different pitches make no sense.
Never used a super pitch , or have a problem with those that do
However from real world practical booking experience, until this year it was always been the non service pitches that lacked availability ,and service pitch which where available
A number of times i have rung sites, as they have no standard pitch available but do had service pitches available ,and asked if we can have one of the empty service pitches at standard sites price ,the answer has always been no
Which then forces us to go elsewhere , i cannot believe we are the only ones that also find are selves in that position
Surly in normal times it should be possible to put in to place some policy which allows this ,so not losing the CMC income0 -
One barrel a week.
What you do not tell us is, how big a barrel have you got
At least we will know if we come across you on site1 -
No you are not, you, me and thousands more do fill at least once per day, we have a smallish watering can and the rule is those that go to the facilities block fill the watering can and top up the aqua role, if you are making drinks, cooking, cleaning your teeth etc i dont know how anybody can survive on 40 ltrs for 5 days, on last day we do tend to let it empty so that we dont have so much to tip away but we do this into the hedge normally, keeps the plants green, but we go away to relax not worry about how much water we are using,

I presume that you shower in the van daily? We don't. Generally we will not visit two non facility sites in a row.
WE start with 40 litres in the aquaroll and I take rubbish to the bin daily and so we will have 60 litres through our stay. From experience of when I was doing a total bathroom rebuild, including the floor screed, Fliss uses around 13 litres at most for a shower.
We will have showered on the previous site in the morning before departure. So day one of our 5 nights we will have showered. Fliss will (in normal weather) shower around day 3, We don't shower every morning. Fliss does use the shower but I don't. I will have a sponge bath as I would have done nearly 40 years ago. I simply do not want the faff of cleaning the shower.
You are not doing anything wrong as we are all different.

The OP’s post seems to indicate that they are looking for serviced/superpitches on club sites mainly because of Covid.
I personally think more of this type of pitch (plus more usage of seasonal pitches) may become a possibility IF we see more of a ‘move’ towards electric vehicles by LV users but just now environmental issues seem to be less focused on than the need to deal with Covid in our world.
Having said that I think it is good that there are pitch providers out there to suit all LV users tastes and wallets in a variety of locations so they most likely may find something to suit but perhaps not on a club site.
Just my thought - I also read the recent article about a macerating loo to be installed in a LV soon and my 1st thought was hope its not too noisy.

We never worry about water as never a problem. We are generally away form site for 7 hours a day and so on a site probably 3 or 4 ltrs per day on drinks.
on last day we do tend to let it empty so that we dont have so much to tip away
On the last day I put the plug in the sink and mpty into sink so that the water in the hot water tank is cool and wont damage the grass on the rare occasion that we are on an all grass site, little weight in the aquaroll to pick up and drain the dregs, hot water rinses the drainage pipes when we pull the plug.

Same here richardandros, we usually fill our Aquaroll twice a day as we don’t use the facility block. We do everything in the caravan, showering, washing up etc, just as at home. Especially now during this pandemic. We do try to use CLs, (great if they have serviced pitches) or no facility sites.

You're talking my everyone out of context. I'll explain further, I personally think current proportions of SP to others is about right for everyone. That is it caters for the fans and non fans of SP. I think that is fair.
You however have stated there should be none.Which one of us is wanting our view to apply to all and which is fairer? Is your view the correct one?
