Check in process too slow

We have stayed on several C&MHC sites since they re opened and  have been struck with the complete differences employed by wardens. On arrival at Bridlington site North Yorkshire we had to wait almost ONE HOUR while the wardens ran a sign in process that took about 10 minutes per unit whereas Checking into Hawes , Barnard Castle wardens allowed arrivals to find a spot and come back and pay after 3 so did York and Hawes. Also..... surely its totally daft that the Wardens Greeting arrivals and getting in close are not using face masks or visors. ??

    Might have been worth asking the question as to why such an involved process. I don't know but just possibly it is the local authority that sets the rules at Bridlington. Other areas may have different requirements.

    It’s always worth talking to the wardens to get the facts.

    For instance, only last night a thread was started querying current arrangements but a review today reveals the true story obtained by a chat to the wardens. It’s good to talk.👍🏻

    The CAMC system is normally far less complicated than the C&CC one. Clearly, there must be a reason behind what the OP has encountered so it’s not really appropriate to compare in this instance.

    Yes, there is a reason as I explained. I use both Clubs, on arrival at CMC you always have to pay. Then you have to show your membership card even though you’ve booked online using your membership number. Then there’s the rigmarole of driving round in circles to find a pitch before you can return to reception and rejoin the queue to be given bits of paper and key etc. It’s not exactly a streamlined system in these challenging times.

    Yep, I use both clubs too and there is virtually no difference in check in arrangements in the office. Pay or collect a receipt and show cards with both clubs. The only real difference is that C&CC take you directly to suggested pitches which saves the return visit to reception.

    However, you miss the point I was making which is that there must be a reason of which us ordinary members are not aware why the OP encountered different arrangements at Brid than he did at the other sites he visited. We're not talking generalities here but the specific circumstances at Brid at this time.

    It has been the best way of getting correct information ,although some  do not seem to understand that before ,jumping in with negative reviews about sites (speak to site staff first) it would probably make  for a less "stressfull?" visit
