You keep going on reasonable manner. Please point out where I have not?
11. Dogs and other pets
a. You are responsible for your pet’s behaviour. You must make sure your pet is under control at all times; dogs must be kept on a secure lead no more than 2 metres long. Please exercise your dog in the dog walk/areas, where provided
I think the above covers everything that you talked about? I would like to see the rules you talk about, perhaps you could post them to see how different they are?
But you are changing your tune again. On one post you mention there are rules to stop dogs barking or keeping them quiet (personally I can't see how that works) now the managers went over and magically the barking was stopped, which was it?
I have the opposite experience, when issues have been brought to the warden's attention something is done

I'm interested in facts and genuine comparisons.
I just checked two seven night holidays in holiday parks within a short distance of each other in Torbay, Devon.
CAMC Hillhead two adults 7 nights August £313.60
Beverly Park two adults 7 nights August £391.00
Both have limited availability as this is peak time.

Yes I did write that and I ask you again what is so wrong with that? Do you really pay for things you don't like? Really simple I would have thought?
And who's the WE? The couple of posters who have said the same thing to you, that is if you don't like club sites don't use them, or if you prefer: if one doesn't like club sites do not use them, just as you have been doing. But you find that (using non club sites) annoying which I find puzzling?
So you claiming members can book a Club site and ignore the procedures
Where did that come from? Why did you make that up? Please post where I said or implied that was the case?
Sorry I don't understand what you're trying to say with You is personnel? I don't work for the club if that is what you're trying to say?

And you have proved a good point in replying to Brue, there are sites more expensive than club sites and there are sites less expensive than club sites.
That shows the OP's statement that (CC sites have become expensive) is simply not true
And of course 'expensive' goes on beyond the actual price, it's all about getting what one wants from a site at a price one is willing to pay for it.
If a site (any) doesn't match that then don't go there.

I've often thought that must be a very noisy site, PD, as it's right on the dual carriageway Torquay ring road with a superb view of the traffic. It wouldn't be my site of choice, tbh, but obviously you're happy with it👍.

"Correct club sites do have rules for dogs, but non seem to cover nuisance barking, and leaving dogs unattended ,which on the two private site i have just spent a week on , both issues where covered in their rules
On one private sites one of the mangers was doing some work ,and a dog kept barking at him .so went across , said something to the owners, and the dog barking issue was sorted
on Club sites from my experience on club sites, it a waste of time saying anything to the site mangers as nothing ever gets done"Nothing to do with prices of course, but .....that's not our experience! The worst case of nuisance barking we ever came across was on a commercial site in the Cotswolds we stayed at a few years back - 2 families in adjacent units with 2 terrier types each. That site had rules but nothing was done about it. Luckily we were only there for 2 nights so it didn't annoy us as much as it might have done otherwise. By contrast, at Chatsworth club site a couple had gone off cycling on a very hot day leaving their 2 dogs in the van - predictably the dogs spent hours barking, so a neighbour and I let the wardens know, more put of concern for the dogs than "grassing up" the owners. That evening the warden came to their van and a "full & frank" exchange of views was had. Within minutes their awning was taken down and they were off site by 9 the next morning. Most folks spend a limited amount of time on site and can probably quote examples of good and bad experiences at any type of site. To pretend club sites are any worse than commercial ones in that respect is simply nonsense.

Personally I would say their premium pitches are not anywhere near the standard of club site judging by the photograph supplied.
Also your price while correct for a couple you have missed out some important (to me anyway) points.
Awnings are £2 pn night extra, an awning with an annex is £3, dogs are £2.50 pn (and you have to notify the site of the breed of your dog before arrival and visitors with their own dogs are not allowed. Actually visitors are only allowed with prior arrangement
As you know dogs and awnings (pups tents and annexes) are all free on CAMC sites. EHU is only 10A. Wifi is not free.
But in my view worse is the £2.20 booking fee/causal arrivals, the minimum five nights stay in August and there is a £50 deposit on booking and if you wish to move your dates then there is an admin fee of £7.50. Leave early and you don't get anything back from the site. Also: Deposits, Booking Fees, Cancellation Premiums and the Pitch Request Fees are non-refundable.
You may like all that PD but I think that the club's approach and booking is far better is all respects.

Yes, that’s true. Best you can hope for is temporary respite as most dog lovers seem oblivious to the annoyance. They sit there in the awning, dog(s) outside on long lead happily barking at anything and everything. Mental torture for me!

Your post exemplifies the problem wi tht clubs rules11. Dogs and other pets
a. You are responsible for your pet’s behaviour. You must make sure your pet is under control at all times; dogs must be kept on a secure lead no more than 2 metres long. Please exercise your dog in the dog walk/areas, where provided
You are responsible for your pet’s behaviour.
This is subjective .not objective and and such one dog owners idea of what is being responsible is not another's
As happened last year, a dog on site was barking a lot, when i went across and said something, the owners answer was they where of site most of the time so what's the problem
The problem then became the owner which after a few kind words from myself ,took tht dog into tht caravan .job sorted
Where does it say anything about leaving the dog unattended
The private sites make both issue objective ,barking and dogs not being left unattended at any times . both are reasonable0 -
Ditto Scone, Dingwall and Moffat. I never saw queues like these when it was 1200 arrival. 🤷♂️

"The private sites make both issue objective ,barking and dogs not being left unattended at any times . both are reasonable"
Agreed, but having a rule written down does not necessarily imply it will be adhered to - see the examples in my previous post!

Goodness me, AD, a queue of four?
You must go to sites which are far busier than the ones we go to.

You're right, David, and the problem with C&CC was caused by switching to 1300 arrival. 1200 worked well but 1300 is too late for people who wish to arrive, set up, then have lunch. Still, there's nowt to worry about for you. 👍

The only time we came across anything like that was our first visit to Chatsworth when we aimed to arrive at 1pm on a Sunday!
We learnt our lesson from that - get there at 2pm on a Tuesday and there's no problem at all.
Never had to queue for more than 10 minutes at either clubs' sites and we'd always be aiming to arrive as early as possible (but then, that would not have been at weekends in high season.)

I use quite a few CCC sites and always try to arrive as early as possible within the rules. Ive never seen any queues more than 2 or 3 units (including Sandringham). And just for the record i have had the same experience on this clubs sites.

i used to go to the wardens but found it fruitless, even had a couple say they really could not do that much ,which from what we saw meant do nothing
Far better to go to the people ,who find out if they do nothing ,the dogs bite , is not the bite to worry about
From my experience clubs site are by far the worst for barking dogs, and dogs being left unattended by members
Though let me put this in to perspective ,the vast majority of dog are great, and i am not against some barking0 -
Where do some of you go if that happens?and on the rare occasion, if that was me i would have had a word with the owners ,and if nothing done would fetch the site staff , very rare (as posted earlier) to have the "nothing done ever done" that some seem to encounter

If the rules are clear and objective. then there is no argument and yes the owner would then have to comply ,

With the "staycation" situation and new club memberships booming (over 3000 at this club since end of lockdown) and dealers running out of new and used LV stocks The situation in this small island of crowded, sites, is set to increase at peak times
ps there were over thirty LVs in the queue at Sandrinham ccc site on a friday in july last year, waiting for the 1300 starting gun, riight out onto the estate road ,(i was out walking Rosa) a MC had been trying to depart for over 30 mins she said ,it was only when i stopped some from moving in through the entrance she managed to get out

Only takes us about half an hour to set up ,less some times

It is not always easy to compare. Southport CMC is generally regarded as expensive and very popular site. We have had a 15 night stay there the last 10 years in December. Currently £32.70 for two adults.
The nearest proper site Is Willowbank Which I used for the flower show about 10 years ago as CMC was full and we were meeting a group of friends. Present costs
Sun -Thu - £22.83 per night
Fri - Sat - £24.91 per night£1.45 per dog and maximum 2
£1.50 booking fee
I did not think it up to club standards 10 years ago but doubtless upgraded now

ON SITE RULES
Being in the countryside brings its own pet etiquette, so we’ve put together some helpful tips and guides (SUBJECTIVE) to protect you, your dog, the countryside and fellow members, so everyone can enjoy the freedom of the great outdoors. We’re sure most are second nature to you (SUBJECTIVE) as a dog owner, others are just to ensure you and your dog enjoy your stayDiscourage excessive barking (SUBJECTIVE & ALLOWS BARKING, OWNERS DO NOT SEE AS EXCESSIVE ) and anti-social behavior (SUBJECTIVE) so everyone can enjoy the site. Dogs can become anxious when lonely or uncomfortable. To minimize this, make sure they have somewhere cool to relax, with good ventilation and access to an ample supply of drinking water if you do have to leave them for short times. (SUBJECTIVE & ALLOWS DOGS TO BE LEFT ON SITE UNATTENDED) Where possible, please keep your dog with you, especially on hot days. A quick build-up of temperatures in cars, awnings, outfits or tents can be fatal to animals.
