Marquis is part of Auto-Sleepers Group Ltd. If you buy from Marquis, you actually pay AS. In turn, I understand AS is now part of the Trigano group which is why Marquis now also sell LVs built in Europe.
J2's post is getting on towards 3 yrs old. Prices will have changed.

there are plenty of workshops about but I would prefer one that has been recommended after having a workshop tell me that my fridge needed a new PCBoard because it did not work on 12v whilst towing fortunatly I told them not to bother at a cost of £276 plus fitting ,I found that the fault was a loose connection on the 12v supply to the fridge cost me 25p for a new connector block ,works fine now

I have been a Mechanic for 40 years .I trained as a Technician completed an apprenticeship attending Technical College for 5 years .Yes some garages employed self taught Mechanic /Technicians and people who wanted cheep repairs /Maintenance would go to back street garages rather than Main Dealers. The modern car and caravan require mechanics with a high skills and are entitled to be called Technicians.
I am no longer able to maintain my Caravan and I am surprised following a service the number of items that are missed .I do think there should be more(mystery shoppers) checking standards, Bob

I’m sure that you are not alone in that thinking. My caravan and it’s tug have done similar and due it’s service, not that I’m sure if I can get it done under these latest restrictions. In my mind, it’s going to get serviced when it isn’t really warranted and only inspection and damp survey should be all that is required.

My service, next week, is going to cost me £250 PLUS £100 for the damp survey. Nothing I can do about it because Knaus stipulate that the 'water ingress' survey must be done by a Knaus Approved Workshop as part of their 10 year bodywork guarantee. Still, it does include a re-application of the underseal to the underneath of the floor, so that eases the pain a little bit.
I suppose I'm a bit hardened to it as Cyberyacht and others must be - having, over the years, paid out the extortionate amounts Marinas charge for any work they undertake!

I know where you are coming from on those costs. I've heard Eriba owners being charged over £400 for service and water ingress test. The 6yr water ingress warranty is dependant on the later. Whilst I managed a fixed price service contract that was not so pricey I did need to make a 250 miles 5 hr round trip. When you then find the dealer has not got the parts they are supposed to have to carry out the warranty work this is not good. They had to return the van to me 3 weeks later, obviously at there cost.
