This system is fitted as standard in our Knaus😀. Not used it yet, though.

If you thought about your comment? i think you will find the majority of "boilers" these days do b oth jobs and the as the outlet for the gas exhaust fumes is now it seems on the off side away form exhausting into anyone useing an awning ,to get the hot blown air to mid way awning side would need a long pipe without it running under the LV as most manufactuers run the shortest route to have a more efficient system

Is it an age thing, or is it evolution? Being cold I mean......🤔

The desire for an awning heater is natures way of telling you to retire to the inside of your van.

Well having just seen this thread, whist looking at my posts, wondered how I had forgotten about it???
I wrote it on a weekend, the following week was busy work wise and then a family hospitilisation, followed sadly by a bereavement, so all in all a bit busy.
As I tried to make clear this was a request for peoples experiences at home with the possibility of caravanning use if the portable type were used.
That is not now an option, I have been firmly told, so now only considering the infra red wall mounted type for use at home.
We do carry a fan heater, for use if required, in the van but its not been used for quite a few years and then it was usually on our annual New Year rallies when sitting in the awning and the temp was not rendered bearable by multiple layers of clothing.
Thanks to all who responded but R2B may have a point!
