CL Sites reopened
Did you stay on a CL Site this weekend? Was it great to be able to visit sites on our lovely CL network again? Let us know how your visit went as we would love to hear from you.
Or are you a CL Owner reopening your doors to members? If so how did it go and was it good to be able to have members back on your sites again?

Stayed at The Old Playing Field over the weekend. Fantastic to get away for the first time in 2020. Only 3 nights but what a joy. Site well set up with safety in mind. This peaceful slice of North Norfolk is so relaxing. Just have to wait for the van service to be complete so we can get away again.

We stayed at South Cliff Farm in Lincolnshire. It was wonderful to see the site fully booked both nights. Great support for the owners. There’s no facilities on this CL so social distancing no problems at all. It must be one of the safest ways to holiday in the current circumstances.

Hopefully travelling to north Norfolk next week, has anyone any info on how things are in the seaside resorts, some towns are still ghost like here in the Midlands while others are almost looking normal.

Just returned from our first outing of the year. Went to Ashleigh Farm cl under Gainsborough, Lincs. This cl opened last Autumn so is not in the book and obviously also suffered because of lockdown. It is a mix of three very large hardstandings and others on slighty sloping grass. Toilets and shower are of hotel standard but the owner decided not top open yet because of cleaning methods laid down by the club. The extra work involved required further time she could not commit to yet plus she was also worried for her young family. It was nice to see the cl full and the owner was kept busy baking her homemade artisan breads and rolls which were very welcome. Local pub in 100yds and another about 10 mins walk were both open and had diners on the nights we visited.
Although in a sleepy village it has a good hourly bus service to Lincoln and Gainsborough so is of benefit to motorhomes.
All in all a very pleasant first time out and definitely a cl we will return to. We were made so welcome

Currently staying at High Breame CL at Flamborough. £17 per night with fully serviced pitches as compared with the Club site just up the road at £38 per night for a standard pitch! We’re only half an hour’s drive from home but it doesn’t matter - just being away is great. Excellent security but toilet / shower isn’t open but we wouldn’t have been using it anyway due to the current situation. This is our second trip away since we were let out having had a week at a CS near Malton from 4th July.

Such a shame that they do not allow dogs, as it would have suited us fine.
