Orange plastic spacer/ tube

Hi.

can anyone tell me what the little Orange plastic Spacer / tube is that always comes in the plastic bag with the samples of Thetford toilet fluids when you buy a new caravan. Thanks in advance

    I got the thetford fluids when I bought my new van but no orange ring in the bag.

    I think it redeuces the water flow when flushing. Had one with my van but never had to use it.
