Help - directions needed
Hi all, I am travelling to Sutton on Sea caravan and motorhome club site in Sept and would like some advice on how to get there . I will be setting of from near Blyth on the A1 and I have read the clubs directions so I know I have to travel into Sutton and avoid a road not suitable for vans .Google maps takes me through Lincoln but after about ten miles it takes me down some very narrow country lanes .I considered going down the M180 then turning off and going past Humberside airport ,through Louth area but isn't that a bit long winded? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

We have been to Sutton on Sea several times and none of the roads are as bad as you imagine and we normally turn right where the sign (last year) still points to (Hawthorn Farm cc site) the old name for the site its a bit "bumpy"
The one thing that we were "advised" by a local years ago was to note that the majority of roads in Lincolnshire were installed by letting a snake go and tarmacing behind it

You'll be OK doing what your thinking. M180 then past the Humberside Airport, then A16 past Louth and turn off at Alford towards the coast.
There are a lot of caravans on route to the area, Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe etc, so the roads are geared up to this sort of traffic.
Just take your time and ignore some of the locals who seem to want to rush around everywhere 😊
