Seems ironic that the barbed posts here about the Welsh Government response and action has been overtaken by the possibility of a lockdown in the East Midlands- Is that England. Perhaps its too early to book sites anywhere in the UK as this disease is still very active.

Well, having read through the whole of this post for the first time, I'm actually rather pleased that we had to cancel our trip to Pembrokeshire, planned for earlier this month. I don't know Wales that well, and I don't think I shall be bothering to go in the future.
Like Rocky, we also live in a popular holiday area of this country and in summer we see the winter population of our small town of about 8000 increase to over 20,000, mainly because of the caravan parks.
That influx has already started and as far as I am aware, there haven't been any signs around telling visitors to go home (or worse) - which I actually think is not that far removed from the mob rule this country is seeing elsewhere. I agree, it's not ideal but we have to learn to live with it and maintain our own safety. Just because the beaches are jammed pack with tourists doesn't mean I have to go anywhere near them - something I avoid doing anyway during a 'normal' year. We just continue to apply common sense in going about our everyday lives and get on with things.

Err, Caravans on service pitches still have their cassettes to empty, water taps chemical disposal points, are part of the infrastructure of most Caravan sites. My Motorhome could stay outside the Senedd building for 3 days or so, with me living in it, without any, waste or anything else being emitted, provided I hadn't had a curry.
What exactly is the point we are proving here ?

Latest update from WAG, self contained holiday accommodation may now open on Saturday 11th July, not 13th as originally proposed. Will the Club bring forward bookings now to 11th? This has been done to allow Saturday to Saturday bookings. Facility blocks are still not to be opened, so own toilets and showers only. Pubs, restaurants ( outside only) still 13th, travel restrictions to be lifted on the 6th.

Getting even confusing for me. I can travel from Monday further than 5 miles. What tourist attractions are open is confusing. CADW will open some of their unstaffed sites from Monday. Dont think National Trust, Castles etc are opening. Not even sure if car parks and parking at mountain walks will be open. Certainly not open at present time. What will there be for any visitor when they come, even to B & Bs and Statics.

"What will there be for any visitor when they come, even to B & Bs and Statics" - the best coastal walking in the UK for us, we don't need anything to be open, happy to spend our money on local services if they are available but will have a perfectly good holiday even if they are not - we are easily pleased. I fully understand that not all locals will welcome us.

Organisations may be following advice but that does not mean that all will make the same decision regarding opening. Some pubs are opening in England and some not. Some welsh counties have made different decisions as they have in England with regard to recycle tips, parks and car parking etc.
Some decisions seem plain daft. a couple of miles from us is parkland. Folk have been permitted to use it for a while on foot. The play ground will be out of bounds as will the cafe. There are some routes to stroll, open space and a popular fishing pool. Despite being available to use its car park has remained closed, This resulted in probably as many as 20 cars parked on the road at times. Locals had complained for a while about how dangerous it was. Despite the dangers I have driven along their once or twice a week giving the cars a run after shopping. I have had no problem passing the parked cars even with local builders merchant wagons coming past at the same time. About a week ago there was an accident between two cars. An older lady passing the parked cars and a man in a car coming in the opposite direction. Police were called and were later appealing for witnesses to a 'serious' accident. The man ended up in hospital. Immediate response from locals 'We told you so'. When I went past a couple of days later the car park was open.
Thecause of the accident was the woman had her passenger window open, a wasp flew in and she panicked.

No logic to deletions. Natural Resources Wales have huge boulders across their car parks so no access. Nat Trust have even fenced off picnic Tables and Nat Park have barriers on their car parks for access to the mountains. When they will be removed there is no info available.

although we don't know yet if CMC are planning to bring forward opening from the 13th to the 11th.
