From the warden:

Anyone coming to Alderstead Heath today.
There is a sign at the bottom of Shepherds Hill which says road closed.
The road is closed AFTER the site access.
YOU CAN access the site from Shepherds Hill.


Please spread this information.

    Do your bit and alter the sign to beyond the caravan parkcool

    I'm only passing on the information which appeared on a Facebook group.  I don't believe that this particular member of the site staff is a member of CT.

    I wonder whether it was an emergency closure. Normally while placing a contract for works those affected by the closure would have been contacted me and appropriate signage included in a closure or diversionary route.

    There has been work ongoing, installing a new Gas main, close to the A30 just North of Truro.

    I have noticed a trend to position Road Closed Ahead signs, which refer to a side road you cannot exit into, that it would be easy for someone unfamiliar to think it may be the road they are on.
