About 3 weeks we wandered into our local dealers to have a nosey at their reopening offers. After a derisory trade-in offer for the van we bought new from them 4 years ago, and ludicrously expensive finance (same interest rate as 4 years ago) we had a look on t’internet. Found exactly what we wanted with a great discount and much lower finance interest (from the same lender....) So agreed a deal with/without trade in. Sold our van on ebay within 24 hours. Today we picked up our new Eccles 580 Lux and oh boy, what a fabulous van! Our 4th Swift in a row and second new van. Better build and finish than the previous Quattro EW based dealer special (albeit the best van so far was the 2010 Eccles). Towed home (about 30 miles) like a dream, rock steady. So we set off on Saturday to Cornwall for a holiday booked last year with a van we hadn’t expected to have.

Thanks. I saw that too and given Saturdays in summer are usually busy with traffic - hardly an earth shattering forecast..... Fortunately the weather forecast isnt too great so will hopefully keep the day tripper traffic down. We were originally booked to go tomorrow however for obvious reasons cannot but we were lucky insofar as the non club site (one of the best sites we have ever been to anywhere) were able to add the cancelled days on the end so we still get our 11 nights.

As per the roads being busy I agree its always busy on week ends, however with Scotland and Wales still being shut and the big boys not opening their sites until Monday I'm not anticipating too many problems traffic wise on Saturday albeit we are going for an early start.
