Hello. We have booked a week at St Agnes Beacon in Cornwall, ariving on the first day of opening. We got a text today informing us of the procedures for arrival regarding covid. We are going to be contacted befor hand to discuss time if arrival and be allocated a pitch .we have never been to this site before, so although we can view it on Google maps, we cant relate the images with pitch numbers. We were wondering if anyone has been to this site and has a pitch plan that they could email, so that if given a choice we can pick a pitch suitable to us, as it happens we live on the coast so a sea view is not a priority. So that may help the site staff.

Bring up the ST Agnes Site page. On the right hand side there is a link to map off site showing pitch layout.

Every Site page has a map of site link

If you go to the site details page you'll find a downloadable pdf of the site plan plus other info. The same can be found for all club sites.

    Edit: great minds, TDA. 😀

Thanks for that . I did see that but was unable to open it, maybe my tablet is the problem.  I will have to set up my pc and see if that works

It may need the Adobe doc reader, perhaps.

Sorted thanks. Operator issues, ie old man and technology.

I think we are going to have to accept what we is offered regarding pitches. Ideally we like to pitch with the awning facing west. Looking at a YouTube clip and the site plan it looks as if most units can be orientated that way by standard pitching or by pitching with the tow hook towards the peg.

There are some pitches on the coastal side alongside the road (hedged etc) that face up towards the Beacon. We've used the site a lot and the central area has plenty of sea views over St Ives Bay or south to Carn Brea near Redruth. Make sure you have good awning straps if the wind gets up! It's a very nice area with a just a few minutes walk to the coast path or the beacon. Take care on the final approach, the lanes are narrow. Enjoy your visit!

    Hi

Be sure to say hello to Arthur when you book in (ask Viv). Beautiful site with some of the best staff on the network. Enjoy.

It would appear (up to now) that most people. when they receive the call, are being asked their preference regarding pitches.

Here's a photo of the site taken from the Beacon, too far a view to pick a pitch but it's not a big site. smile
