Sorry to requote you but you forgot to mention that some of your country men aren't doing that well in social distancing and following your LOCAL rules?
Lockdown restrictions will not be eased if large parties and fights at beaches continue in Wales, the first minister has warned.
Videos on social media showed large crowds at Ogmore-by-Sea, Vale of Glamorgan, followed by violent clashes on Thursday evening
No wonder you're having spikes

Lets think positive for a change, I think that the 4th of july is a bit of a red herring now, people have already come out to play and you dont need pubs to open to purchase alchol, and i think for many of the young who are currently purchasing alchol, illegally, and drinking on beaches and in parks will not be welcome in pubs so much as landlords will not want to risk the possibility of their premisis being closed so will be keeping a close eye on the situation as will some of the bouncers that they will be employing.

I wonder if the defecating in peoples gardens and children's play area's will stop.
plenty of reports in the local papers today of parents having to lock their children away due to health concerns of human faeces everywhere.
Dogs are banned from the beaches normally from 1st March but this year it was mid May to help keep the beaches free of poop. So why can't we ban the humans for the same reason!
It was found instead of rubbish being everywhere at Durdle door, although there was a lot, the caves had been stuffed with all the rubbish to hide it away, it took the locals and estate staff 5 hours of their own time to clear it up, don't these people/animals care about the environment and wildlife at all
The beaches are normally turned over by heavy machinery in March which hasn't taken place this year, and then again in October to keep the sands clean, I wouldn't want to be the tractor driver this year

We never do York in Summer, unless for an event. Worse inland place I have ever been for tourists is Bourton on the Water. Coach loads of Japanese, Chinese, Americans. You simply could not move for them. I had stopped off for a quick break taking Mum and Dad down to Cornwall. The place doesn’t even have a decent bakery! Mind, I did enjoy the little Motor Museum when we called one Autumn. Damned nuisance all these tourists....😂

Yup, I clocked that one as well😂 Mind you, that’s not even a night out to an Australian....
Its a local government area by the way, not a town for those interested.

its ashame the cafes and pubs and resturants was not open at brighton and bouremouth if people want to go then at least let the locals make some money people dont realise the damage this lock down is doing to bussiness our very close friends have lost there pub after twelve years and will now be homeless the knock on afect of this lock down will be felt for years we must start working again before its to late

Don’t worry about being ‘invaded’ by the idiots. As soon as international tourism is back they will be filling the bars and beaches in Ibiza etc...and the sooner the better.
As for shopping deliveries I think it’s a storm in a teacup and your fears won’t materialise. Most supermarkets seem to have methods to control the numbers in some way. We have used Sainsbury’s since the 3rd week of lockdown and are ‘prioritised’ due to age. Slots are only released 7 days in advance and you can only book one delivery every 7days, that seems very fair.

Cornersteasy air brushed out the outbreak in England.( Geography might be slightly wrong) Whilst it is unlikely that deliveries to sites will be a major issue its the thinking behind and the perceived headlines that such a decision makes that is worrying. Everyone knows the supermarkets are finding it difficult to meet orders. How could a professional organisation like the club not realise that the headlines will be and the effect it will have on the locals who already have worries about a large influx of tourists

Latest update is even more confusing. One poster saying Club will deliver, one poster had confirmation they won’t. The plot thickens.......

I have a different take on supermarket deliveries.
Some people have been shielding or whatever the latest term. There is no reason why they cannot safely use a site however with the correct precautions. For a few this might make a difference

You might be barking up the wrong tree if all the evidence leads to no new spikes and many were probably aghast at the overcrowding when they arrived, but having travelled from places such as Milton Keynes thought they would make the best of a bad job. Dont condon it but we dont know the circumstances surrounding the lives of many of these people.

It does make one wonder ,with so many still furloughed (before they are made redundant ) why they would expect hunny pot places to not be over crowded, when the travel restrictions for day trips have been abandoned (after the cummings "incident ")and good weather as well

Or, of course, they could order before they go, by whatever means they have been getting shopping delivered for the past few weeks. That would also avoid any risk in having to turn up at some appointed place on (or outside) site where, possibly other folk are waiting to pick up deliveries!

They went in peoples gardens, hedges, plastic bags then buried in the sand, in the childrens playparks and in the sea. Nothing worse than raw sewage in the sea on the blue flag beaches, it will be another hit to lose that status when the water gets tested.
don't let your children build sandcastles or play on the swings and roundabouts for at least a year on Dorset beaches

From what I read toilets were not closed. I suspect that there would be a shortage however given no cafes, pubs etc
The Bournemouth district council should have provided portaloos if necessary. Given previous experiences, all but one car park open and the weather forecast they should have been prepared.

Any thoughts on who should have paid for portaloos ET?
The good rate payers of Bournemouth?
Cash strapped council?
Maybe set up contactless payments at each plastic box?
Government Grant?
National Lottery?
🤔😉

IMO, there are far too many on this thread making light of the problems faced by others.
It also seems to me that the general populous are not thinking of the good of everyone, the economy has taken over, money over lives.
On TV the other evening there was someone saying the over 60s should just stay home and let the rest of the country get on with life.
Is that really what the majority think?
0 -
You make some fair points, imo. I would though say that at some point the economy needs to be addressed, we can’t go on as we are until the last case has gone away. Regarding your last point, my guess is that the majority don’t think that way, but an awful lot do.
