Hi we have a bailey unicorn lll and have somehow smashed the side light the ones that run along the side at the bottom just before lockdown we bought a replacement light from the dealer but when we unscrewed the old one there doesn’t seem to be enough Slack in the wiring to unclip it and replace with the new one has anybody got any ideas of how to do it thanks

I've just replaced one this week - having bought the replacement a couple of years ago and not got round to it. It was hit when the awning gave way during a storm. Mine's a Bailey Olympus2, so I suspect they're similar. The original was stuck in place and has two lugs that position it into 2 holes in the body. The wiring goes through one of the lugs and along the inside of the skirt, but as you mentioned, there's no slack. Fortunately[?] I could see the wiring passing  the 'second' lug hole. I therefore hooked it and then cut the cable where it exits the old light [1st lug]. I then pulled the remaining cable out of the 2nd hole, fitted female spade connectors to the ends of the old cable and then connected the new light. Insulated the connections with tape and pushed all the wiring back through the 2nd hole and fitted the new light. This was also 'sticky-backed'. All seems ok but won't be able to hook it up to the car to check for another week or so. This may or may not help - all depends whether the wire runs past the 2nd hole or not..... Good luck!
