Hi everyone im looking for some advise. I'm a total newbie so know virtually nothing about the caravan I have bought a lunar lx200 462. Im feeling quite daunted watching YouTube videos on how to get her up and running i.e utility batteries, cleaning and draining water system, she didnt come with a manual. What Im really looking for is what air awning to buy that will fit my caravan. Also what is best motor mover or motorised  jockey wheel? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Mover is much better than motorised jockey wheel IMHO,

As far as air awnings go, I have a Kampa Rally Pro which is brilliant but the main thing is to ensure it all inflates form a single point. Some require you to inflate various frame sections separately and then put the together.

Be aware that air awnings tend to be heavier that standard ones as the frame tubes form part of the canvas and it all needs to be pulled through the awning rail. Lots of rail lubricant helps dramatically.

Both types of awning need the same amount of pegging though.

Good luck and enjoy your travels. It really isn't as daunting as it appears.

I was the same with my Motorhome, it was daunting to start with, but I bought several manuals, Haynes motorcaravan manual, Porter Complete Motorcaravan Manual to name 2, they helped no end.

There must be caravan equivalent, but if not, when it comes to the internal bits and pieces a motorhome is the same as a caravan in most respects.

Take each system one at a time and try to understand how it works and what you need to do to maintain it and keep it working, before long it will be second nature. I have only had my MH for a year any worries soon dissolved after our first outing. I would recommend your first camp over weekend with a friend or family in their caravan or MH to help, give advice and share a well done tipple after the first successful day. wink

Can I recommend you look at some Youtube videos. A good start off point might be " The Trudgians" or "CarefreeCaravanning". This will give you the opportunity to explore a complete range of topics including Air Awnings. I have a Lunar 462 and it will take up to a 300 air porch style awning comfortably and possibly a 390. I think the best air awning is made by Kampa as it does have a single air entry point. Some of the Kampa range have removable panels that allow you to reduce the weight whilst erecting it. Kampa do a Youtube video on setting up an air awning. With the lightweight Lunar I am sure most movers will easily cope. The two types are electrically operated engagement of  Mover to wheel or a manual type operated by a lever. Well I hope you have as much fun as we have, and soon realise it is not a daunting as you might think.
