Crosby "Another Place" parking
At some point this year we would like to visit Crosby to view the Antony Gormley "Another Place" statues. We intend to just visit rather than stay in the area - the Forest of Bowland would be our next resting place.
Can anyone advise what the parking in the area is like for a 7.4m long motorhome for a few hours?
Thanks in advance,
PilgrimPhil

There is a beach side car park plus café complex alongside the entrance to the beach for "Another Place" not sure about what size vehicles can get in, probably easy to check. Make sure it's not a high tide as you might not see anything.. or just a few heads! Hope you get there, it's worth seeing.

Have you tried Google Earth as that will give you a pretty good impression on the place that Brue mentions?

The Burbo bank car park at the end of Hall Road did not have a height restriction when we were last there just before lockdown. All the marked spaces are a fairly standard size with a quite wide road down the middle. It can be very busy at holidays and weekends. It is now pay and display but is still shown as closed due to Covid 19 on the Sefton council web site but may have reopened. There are individual toilets and a burger van and ice cream van at busy times.
There is also a car park at the Leisure Centre further towards Bootle also just off the beach which has a cafe and public accessible toilets in normal times.

We have parked on the road that runs parallel to the beach -Marine Crescent/Adelaide Cres. It was unrestricted the last time we went and not busy during the week. From there it’s a short walk through the park, around the Marine Lake and through to the beach. The statues stretch a fair way along the shoreline too and one of the houses on Marine Cres (or Marine Parade) was the home of the captain of the Titanic and has a blue plaque

A representation of anyone who is physically or mentally in another place.
My photo was taken in early January a couple of years ago.

Thanks for all those replies, comments & suggestions.
I suppose my query was really whether there were height barriers at any of the adjacent carparks & whether there were any specific areas for motorhomes within. I will ask the local council for their suggestions.
Thanks again,

No height barriers at Burbo Bank car park when last visited mid March. No specific spaces for motorhomes or larger vehicles but the car park is very wide in some parts so length not really a problem and many local trade people in large vans will often lunch there.
Will probably be visiting in next week or two and will update you then.

We took our 7.8m Motorhome for the day there two weeks ago and parked by the leisure centre in the free car park at the end of Mariners Road. During the week so not too busy.

Just back from walk on Crosby promenade which was quite busy.
All car parks open and toilets open on main car park at end of Hall Road. There were three motorhomes on car park one probably as long as yours. The car park cost £1.00 for two hours and there is still no height restriction.
Have a good visit.
