Cirencester Park new access road
Cirencester Park is a lovely CMC site but for years had been let down by the state of its access road. Now there is a lovely new tarmac access road courtesy of Cirencester College. However this also features a large number of large rocks to keep you from straying off the straight and narrow, see photos below.
I understand that these rocks did not feature on the original plans but they are a real hazard to large vehicles.

Living locally we walk around this area frequently and have been watching this road being constructed.
The original access road is to the left of these pictures on the other side of the newly constructed embankment.
Lovely smooth new road surface but the boulders do make me shudder at the thought of meeting another caravan coming the other way.
There are several lay-bys along the route but still very tight in my opinion
It does then re join the original access road to the tennis and cricket club just prior to the entrance to the CAMC site.
Hope this helps

Me neither. On the long straight stretch of road, middle picture surely you would be able to see the edge of the college car park to the left.🤔 Plus there would be old buildings, or signs of there demolition to the right.
edit
thanks Betsyboo, that explains it. Very nice, but those rocks need to go.

Yes this is a newly constructed road.
You still use the same entrance off the Stroud Road.
The new road veers in a right hand direction approximately 20 meters along the original entrance road and then runs parallel to it before moving left again to rejoin the original route just before the site entrance.
We are due to walk out that way soon so could take some photos to illustrate if that would help.
But the photos posted do show it well in my opinion
The original road was still there but blocked off last time we were there.
Yes it is single track
