I looked up booking an NT parking slot at Stourhead, apart from it being fully booked I noticed they were only allowing campervans that are the main vehicle. I think bookings are released on Fridays but maybe it will be a changing scenario.

You need to get exploring sorento, thousands of wonderful places to picnic in isolation in South Yorks, or just over county borders in Derbyshire, Notts and Lincolnshire. No pre booking and payment needed. We are giving it another couple of weeks, see how the R number goes, then we have a fabulous little day planned somewhere rather unknown........
Glad you had a good time. 👍

Just had a look at the Chatsworth web site. As from the 10th June parking at the house is only allowed if you buy a garden ticket. So for 2 adults the cost is £28. Parking is still possible for £4 at Calton Lees.
The plus side is that there is plenty of availability and the garden is very good. We will give it a go one day midweek, as long as I can get a booking after I am fairly certain about the weather. Don't fancy forking out £28 to walk round in the pouring rain.😂

Steve (and others close to SY) have a look at this
As far as I am aware, the estate is open, as are all the associated footpaths to various monuments and the exterior of the two churches. Car parking in the village is free, the village is preserved and worth a wander around in its own right, before you even tackle the Estate walks with its three lakes. You cannot cycle the Estate though. There are monuments scattered all over worth a look, but the big house is simply stunning.
Adjacent to the Estate on the edge of the village is the Garden Centre, with a very big free car park. It should now be fully open, apart from the restaurant. If the Walled Garden is open, well worth a look around for a small fee.

You’ll be fine at Wentworth😁 The Estate is beautiful. Shame all the pubs are still closed, some serve top class food. 👍
