Changing Truma water socket to a Whale socket

Hi All

I want to change from a Truma water socket to a Whale socket. Would it be a straight out swap ie is the hole in the caravan wall the same shape/size? I've seen the whale "adapter" for the truma socket but would prefer to have a whale socket for neatness.

 

Any advice would be much appreciated

    Curious why you want to change the socket. The original pump on my Coachman was like >this< but the plug was cr4p - at best and the hose very inflexible. On suggestion from someone here I bought one of >these< instead. The plug is far far superior & the hose is much more flexible.

    I think that the Whale fitting is much neater being more flush fitting rather than having the plug protruding out of the side of the caravan I. have seen the type you mention & I might have to go down that route as I agree with your sentiments on the Truma version.
