As from last Monday (25th May) work on the A2 in Kent, from the Brenley Corner roundabout (M2/A2 junction) has begun on the seven mile stretch, for the next 18 MONTHS !! 

Works to provide a new slip road for Canterbury from the A2 Dover Road at Thanington, road repairs and resurfacing, will cause lay-bys to be closed, 50mph speed restrictions and possible diversions in place (7pm to 6am)

    One would have thought they could have brought this forward to take advantage of the lockdown.

    Just wait until Manston becomes an airport for air freight etc. and the government decide to connect it to the M2.

    Still, about 10 yrs. from now it won't affect me as I won't be around.
