This year's National may not be taking place as planned, but that doesn't mean we can't bring the National to you via the power of social media!

Join us on Facebook on Monday 25 May 2020 for the Big Little National Festival. We'll be bringing you a jam-packed day of events for everyone to take part in - all for free!

In between these events, we will post highlights of activities from across the UK. From virtual hikes, dog shows and bake offs there will be something for everyone delivered by our Divisions and Regions who are hosting events on each of their own Facebook pages. Head over and follow the page in your Region or Division of the UK to join members in your area in celebrating the bank holiday weekend:

The schedule of events is below:

Monday, 25 May 2020

11:00 Official opening statement from our Chairman,
11:30-14:00 Regional activities from around the UK
13:45-14:00 Get Away Your Way - Perfect Day Competition winners revealed.
14:00 Lighting of the BBQs and live cook-a-long with Martin Dorey
14:30 Winetasting with Laithwaites Wine
15:00-17:00 Regional activities from around the UK
17:00 Live quiz, sponsored by SsangYongGB
18:00 Club Concert Band performance
18:15 Your photos - round up of the day

We'll be letting you know some more information before the bank holiday so you can get prepared for the cook-a-long and have everything you need for wine tasting.

If you're not on Facebook and are interested in any of the events we will share these on YouTube the following week and I will post the links here.

If you are taking part then please share your photos here and let us know what you have been doing. cool

The fact it's on FB may be a major factor in the lack of interest. 🙁

Hi TW you would have thought that here would have been the main port of call for something like this and not Facebook.Otherwise surely what’s the point of this community.Or am I wrong?

You have missed a Region off your list Rowena. I think I have just watched the opening video. Grenville did not sound too well plus, as advertised, no announcement about next years national?

We had hoped to announce the venue for next year but for reasons beyond our control we are unable to at this moment in time but rest assured we will publicise it as soon as we can.

Last week we asked you to tell us which Club Site, what meal and the one special tune would build your perfect getaway day...and the results are in! The most popular site was Bunree Club Site, the most popular meal was steak cooked on a BBQ and the song you'll be listening to is Perfect Day by Lou Reed - and we have to say, that does all sound pretty perfect 🙌 Congratulations to Kathleen from Stalybridge who has won £250 UK Club Site Vouchers, a hamper from The Cornish Hamper Store and a mini sound bar from Avtex.

We had so many fantastic entries for the song choice, that we've put together a playlist of the top 10 songs on YouTube. Take a listen here:
