Additional adults or total

Pretty fundamental enquiry from a relative newbie but we are not clear when making a booking whether to answer the question about number of adults as one or two. There are the two of us and so we have always put 2adults, but I notice that the “pitch from” price is for the pitch plus one adult, so should we put just one, in other words is one already assumed and the question is just asking for additional numbers?

This can make a lot of difference over the season so a definitive answer would be a great help.

You have to book for 2 adults.  The "price + 1" is just indicative of what the minimum price might be (and very rarely obtainable! wink)

And that price is often only available on one day in the year!

Yes, the grass economy pitch, with no EHU.

And if the ground is too wet for grass pitches to be in use, that will not be available either.

And when you book for one does it cost you the price stated in the book.

Very rarely I would think, as that is a "from" price!

One and One make 2 - not often that happens on some of this forum's threads! laughing

But yes, very often when we were working, if we were having a weekend away I'd go up on a Thursday evening to set up and then go to work the following morning. Just booked for 1 adult for the whole session then paid extra for whichever nights Mrs M joined the party. smile

It can get complicated as my girlfriend has often to return home for a couple of overnights for family reasons.  So it can go one, two, one, two, one, two - bit like a dance instructor.  Simplest way is to just total them up and pay accordingly to begin with.

Thank heavens for the nationwide free bus pass or the travel would cost more than the camping!

Not strictly about adults etc., but when we were away last year together with my daughter and her family in their van my grandson decided he'd like to stay a few extra nights and travel home with us.

I went to the office to pay the additional fee and the wardens seemed really surprised that I wanted to pay. I got the impression that they almost accepted that in similar circumstances people would just not tell them. It also took them quite a long time with much head scratching to find a way accomplish this, finally finding a work round which satisfied the computer system.

I spent three years commuting on trains, it was a simple process mainly as we tended to use CLs, but not a big issue when we were on the odd Club Site. I tended to pop into office on my way in.
