We have a porcelain Cicada whose tummy we press on sunny days: he makes that evocative provencal summer sound. How sad can we get?

What's really sad is that I can't hear real Cicadas without the help of my hearing aids! Meanwhile, Tuesday, 18 jan 2005, at 12.19 in Tarragona...

    Dije "¡sal del maldito camino!"

It's amazing how the cicadas just clam up as soon as it's just a little bit cloudy.

I vaguely remember seeing this in a travel magazine. Is it somewhere in N. Ireland?

Go on, tell me its in Australia!

We have a blue pot cicada that I bought at the market in St Remy a few years ago. It sits outside the caravan door when we’re away in the summer, along with a plant and other “delights “ that we always seem to accumulate when away. Better days!

    🙂

That looks like somewhere in the N.West Highlands, at a guess heading up to Stob Coire Easain, from Roy Bridge?

Another shot of a lizard. Inspite of it being of a tropical lizard and flower, it was actually taken in this country.

The above reminded me one of my favourite subjects to photograph are flowers. I guess that is because they are relatively easy to capture well. Here are a few from my collection.

NW Highlands nellie, but taken on a walk along Gleann Lichd from Morvich CAMC site. Picture was taken from the right end of the glen on the map looking back towards Morvich. A reasonable distance but hardly any climbing. Unfortunately our days of tackling Munros are over.☹️

I tried to post the 1:25000 version of the map but 500k just isn't enough for all those contours.😂

R2B, I don't think you appreciate the true beauty until you get up close for a good look.

As they appear to be dodos, I would guess Mauritius, BICBW

I thought they were ducks CY! It is definitely not Mauritius, the fauna is wrong. Reminds me a bit of a NT garden in N. Wales or is it Heligan?

The photo was taken at NT Mount Stewart in NI, eastern shore of Strangford Lough. Interesting place to visit, house, garden and art collections. There is a huge painting by George Stubbs of a horse, "Hambleton" hanging in the house. The family didn't like it because the horse was being led by his groom and no-one wanted to see a servant in the picture! Anyway it's such an enormous painting they couldn't do much about it and I loved the story and the picture.

    >MOUNT STEWART<

A few more photos, the "mary, mary" statue was pretty, surrounded by her cockle shells and bells.

Here's a caravan that's seen better days. (Sierra Espuna National Park 2013)

To redeem myself after the ugly caravan pic, here's a much nicer photo from the same location!

PD, the Chestnut trees have their “candles” on at the moment. Next time you can get up really close, take a look as each candle appears to be made up of hundreds of orchid like individual flowers. Really unusual.

It is, and a very nice stadium. Been to 3 CL games there now, lost the 1st 2, and 2-1 up in the 3rd. When / if that tie will ever be completed, who knows! We had a great 5 night break in Madrid though. 🙂⚽️

When you consider the subsequent events in Madrid it would seem that you were very lucky Pliers. You personally not City.smile You'll probably not be allowed in for the return.

We were just studying one the other day Ttda. Magnificent trees. The sheer strength in them is wonderous never mind the rest of it.
