Having had to jump start my car recently due to lack of use (lesson learnt). Will the leisure battery in my caravan (in storage in Wales) necessarily be flat or worse still a write off due to a low voltage?

It would depend if it is powering anything. On our first van I tended to disconnect it and it lost very little. Even if I forgot it would last for ages. When we bought the second, it had an alarm / tracker for which I received an insurance discount. I used to swap it over with my reserve every 6 weeks or so.

Nothing turned on and so far the battery has caused no problems. Think that I might take a borrowed charged one with me when restrictions are lifted.

    Thanks for replying guys.

buy a portable solar panel and place in the front window. would give you enough just to keep it topped up (if the sun is out mind).

Didn't see the Lockdown coming! We normally get to the caravan on a regular basis so no problems. If I have a solar panel I cannot get from England to Wales to fit it.
