Another theory for you! Perhaps they have been too successful and at the rate they were selling them realised that all booked sites next year, and further forward, would effectively have a 20% discount on them which then couldn't be recovered by price increases? Perhaps the expiry date was introduced to tame demand!!!!

I think CMC are on very thin legal ground if they repudiate the terms and conditions of a purchase after the purchase has been made. If the vouchers were purchased with a set of terms and conditions present and then the terms are subsequently changed they are repudiating the original contract and subject to legal challenge.
Anyone fancy taking them to the Small Claims Court?

Wherenext wrote, "The club promote themselves as a "Members Club" yet treat those members poorly."
Members Club is now just PR jargon.
Since the famous about turn by Nick Lomax on keeping the sites open there have been other instances where indecision has caused uncertainty on here and FB. There is no help forthcoming from the club hence the quote from David Klyne, " I will ask Rowena if she can get chapter and verse for us." That shouldn't be necessary if the club were more forthcoming with information. After all isn't that what this website is for. where is the important club news. It should be on the front page but it's buried in silly sub-sections. Take Coronavirus for instance, where is the latest news. Look under, WHATS ON > NEWS AND FEATURES > then scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page CLUB NEWS. Bingo! You've eventually found it.
There should be a front page heading of LATEST NEWS. Easy

Our vouchers arrived this afternoon, (within 5 minutes of the time given in my email). No expiry date nor date of issue, only problem, they are all of £20 value, however, there is only one site we would wish to visit that works out less than £20 per night(mid-week discount). So quite happy to make up the difference in cash. As these are monetary value vouchers, not site night vouchers what difference does any future price rise make? I'm still making 20% interest less p&p. That will do for me.

I'm old. Too many things could happen to me over the next 12 months to make buying vouchers a sensible plan. I don't even look for long best before dates on yogurt any more.

But since the Club now have your money, you cannot choose to vote with your wheels and use a non Club site or CL, which might well be better value in that situation.
Plus, as said, who knows what may happen, when we will next be able to go away?
