Hiya, my Heki 2 rooflight

when you pull the blind across it stays in place no problems and it goes back ok and stays there,

however when you pull the fly screen across it clicks into the blind it then pulls the blind across about 6-10"

which is a bit annoying

so anyone know how to repair this or whats wrong pls?

thanks

Could be the spring on the fly screen is stronger than the blind and is pulling it,,as both have tension springs that help keep material taunt when being opened

The spring on your blind bit must be "tired".

On ours you cannot have the blind part way over unless you attach it to the fly screen, if you let it go without clicking the 2 together the blind immediately whips back.

There must be something on the internet that tells you how to sort this. Would need a new spring unless the  tension can be adjusted.

For some reason I cannot paste a link, but if you google Heki 2 blind spring, use the U.K. Campsite entry and there is some info there

Mine works like Kjell's.  Are you sure that the blind side is fully in the rolled away position?  If it is not, then like mine, the two will settle in the halfway position.   Mine is 11 yrs old and works fine.

Give a dealer/service engineer a call.  I have just seen that there is an item called 'Heiki spring clip' available at £3.10. I have no idea, but maybe this is the cause of your problem.  Others may know better than me.cool

Back again!  I have found a YouTube video which shows simply how to adjust the springs.  Can't do the link, but if you Google 'heiki 2 roof blind repair' you should find it.  So simple I will now go out and clean the inside fitting of minesmile  Hope this solves your problem.

    i've pulled mine apart,

the blind bit the only spring on it is on the end of the rope, whereas the flyscreen is spring loaded

i think there must be a clip or something that usually holds the blind in the closed position, if feels like it's clicking in but doesn't seem to hold it shut, but can't seem to find where the clip actually is
