When are sites to open
I understand the need to isolate. But, in a tin box apart from others can you mot isolate. Sadly, Wales and Cornwall have decided that travel is selfish. I agree that if we allow unrestricted travel that we could have issues. But we need to be realistic and reasonable. All clubs are able to police members and enforce distancing so please lets have a discussion on when to open and secure our clubs futures.

I thought it was the government, not Wales and Cornwall who had made the decision regarding travelling?
Until they give us some indication of future plans (and, fortunately, that might become a bit clearer this week, not before time, I might add! ) I can't see any point in speculating about how the club might "police" members even when sites are eventually reopened.

It’s been discussed several times and until the Govt releases their plan I don’t see anything to discuss. I also don’t see how 2 or 4 staff on a site are supposed to ensure people keep 2m apart. That’s unrealistic.
It is not the people of Cornwall and other places who have decided travel is selfish but the Govt which imposed the essential travel criteria and told holiday businesses to close. The Govt had the foresight to recognise that travel helps spread disease and puts additional strain on the NHS which is already stretched in areas like Cornwall without having to deal with the added burden holiday makers may bring. I, for one, am pleased at the Govt's action in protecting me and mine. You will be welcome here once the crisis is over.

Wasn't it you who said we'd never see you back here? Woo-hoo! 👍🏻👍🏻😎🥳💃🕺🏻🎊🎉

Sites could probably re-open earlier if it was on the basis that facilities blocks remained closed and people used their own facilities. How that would be viewed by the "absolutely no No.2's" brigade, could differentiate between groups. The other aspect would be the pricing of providing reduced facilities. CL's could be the first to open.

You might be able to drive there in isolation and pitch with minimal social contact. However, unless you are going to carry absolutely everything with you, then shopping will be required. You could of course also become sick and have to self isolate. Who's going to sort out your supplies in that scenario?
I would also agree with cyberyacht that sites would have to open as non facility. Or remain closed for several months yet.
Its much to early in my opinion to consider opening sites. There are a lot more important aspects of society to get up and running first. As every small tweak will increase the R number, which has to remain below 1, I suspect it might be September before we see any significant opening.

No axe to grind, no motorhome at present 😢.
We can travel and self isolate wherever we like??
So you drive miles and don't leave your van? What's the point?
How do you avoid cross contimation getting water and emptying waste including a fully used toilet? Certainly no facilities open.
Where do you buy supplies? Take everything with you?
If you need emergency services you drive home again to avoid overloading local services? What about risk of road traffic incident, might not be you but you could be a victim.
The list goes on and on.
Let's just be patient, otherwise we've all done our bit for nothing. And those who are compromised healthwise and are about halfway into their 12 weeks will be further penalised by longer stay at home messages because of the 'I'm all right Jack - requests to comply exclude me' types 🤐😤.
Personally even when we get the slight relaxation of things, it will be introduced gradually and retightened if it doesn't work! We'll be very cautious about what/how/where we join in. You're a long time dead 😉. And from the tales I hear of folk who have had it it's no bundle of fun. Thanks but no thanks. We are not being asked to give our lives for freedom as my parents were, but to sit back and savour life as it is, that's freedom we should enjoy. For those who are getting 80% of money but no work a chance that will never come again to enjoy me time. For those who can't work and don't get any help they need to be able to return to work and earn and continue to earn without further disruption caused by opening things up too soon.
Rant over, but you did ask!

As we now have so many other threads discussing various aspects of COVID19 and the associated restrictions, I'm closing this thread rather than have another duplicated discussion.
Thanks to those who've already contributed here.
