It's our favourite site in the whole of France. You should give it a try. Great photo of the 'Selection' gang. Top deck at the then new restaurant: we remember the evening well

Strange to say, but we've got a Portuguese marble paving 'cube', 6x6x6 cm, which I lifted from a pile (as a souvenir) when the pavements were being repaired in Alvor. That was in 2012. It has been sitting in our garden ever since. It's now got a red '2m' on its front face and is sitting 2 metres from our front door as a marker on the path.

My old school was demolished, it was built in the sixties and taken down in the nineties...an illustrious and very short history! 

I remember the "old" schools in Edinburgh, unusual to have so many.

Mine was built in the early 17th century: some of the masters seemed just as old!
