Hi i have an elddis odessey  544

the door panel has a built in litter bin, but it is really shallow width ways

it's pretty pointless really, some vans i've seen the bin is quite good though,

how do i get the panel off the door pls?

and does anyone know if any other vans panel will fit mine pls?

thank you

You have not said what model year your van is, but it sounds like your bin is the same as ours, we have a Swift Group van.

I would describe it as being fine in height and width, but too shallow back to front, does that sound like yours?

Newer vans from Swift have a better deeper bin, I believe it is a direct swap for the old one, but as with all things caravan related, you need to be sitting down when you see the cost!  We have just kept the original, and are used to it.

Some people use it as a magazine rack and keep a proper bin in the awning, or elsewhere in the van.

I would not have thought you would need to take the door apart to swap it,  but without looking cannot be sure.

A new bin should be easily available from a spares place.

I believe the doors are made by Seitz, so there should be more info on them on the internet.

Hartal is another name that  rings a bell.

If you put Seitz caravan door bin into Google, you will get up a selection of possibilities, the one that would replace ours looks to cost about £50.

There is a Hartal one for around £35.
