PD seems to have been nearest, leaving aside chasncath's cheating. It was, indeed, the most northern Christian church in the world at Longyearben. Clever pun though.

In case anyone is still remotely interested, the answer to my last 'poser' is Nin.

BTW CY, I downloaded your photo, opened it with win 10 photo viewer, read the details, and then clicked on 'search with Bing'. Lo and behold. lots of similar photos of Svalbard church. Gosh, you were a long way north!

Yes, I was interested, chas. I'm sure we visited that church on one of our Croatian holidays, but I'll have to look back at the pictures on my old PC to check. Would we have gone there from Rabac or Dubrovnik?

    Thanks for the interest, Moulsey!

It's unlikely you would have had an excursion from Dubrovnik as Nin is quite far north of there and beyond the Bosnia coastal strip which intercepts the road north. On the other hand you might have had a boat trip out of Rabac. Have a look at the map, which might jog your memorycool

Thanks chas - I haven't checked on the PC yet, but I'm pretty sure looking at your map it must have been our very first trip to Croatia, staying just outside Split. I think, when we stayed in Mlini just outside Dubrovnik we took a trip through the Bosnian strip to get to Mostar, would that be right? It sticks in my memory because I had a camera stolen when we were there.  yell

One of these days I'll get round to transferring all my old photos - these days I save the best ones from each trip onto Drive but I don't think that was around then - at least not in my world! smile

Most likely you visited from your stay outside Split. We also stayed at Mlini when visiting Dubrovnik ( but that's another story). Lovely little campsite, Autokamp Kate, a hundred steps down to the sea.

I don’t have to go very far back for better times; these were taken last week on my local dog walk. I count myself very lucky to live so close to rolling green hills and canal walks.cool

I had to include the pic of black lambs, they look so cute.smile

BTW, when did this become a “where is this” thread?wink

Well it started off as pics of happier times and morphed into a quiz. It's called topic drift.

    Are these Zvartable lambs?

They have become a very popular breed of sheep to keep, here in East Lancs, in recent years.

Sorry to drift even further off topic?

    🙂

Sorry but I don’t know what type they are, the parent ewe is dark brown but these lambs are black with white faces.

Just checking on Google and they do look like Zvartable lambs.smile

Looks a bit like Camping Cala d’Oques at Hospitalet de l’Infant....but I suspect it isn’t.

That’s not much of an answer is it!

Here’s a photo of our lunchtime there, last June. Better Days without a doubt!

    🙂

Never been but I'm guessing that we've viewed the house from the outside. I won't give the game away but I think the coal board had a lot to answer for.

They are Zwartbles (sheep) Nevers, originate from Netherlands, very cute. Seem to be seeing quite a lot of them all over UK. Your canal walks look lovely. We decided to do a walk together today, our local woods, chock full of bluebells, absolutely lovely. We didn’t see a soul, great relief from trogging round local Park.

oops, apologies, wrong thread. But anyone got my interior shots yet? It’s big, it’s two houses, and it’s got horse racing links.......
