Burrs Country Park
One of the best things about Burrs Country Park Club Site is the East Lancs Railway passing by. Here's some photos to the official opening in 2016.

This is the King Edward II at Cheltenham racecourse station, taken June 2018. We were staying overnight at the racecourse campsite and were lucky enough to see the train as it arrived and left.

One thing this thread has highlighted to me is just how many preservation raillways there are in this country! In my travels I do not recall there being so many in other countries. Is the UK unique in this respect?
Here is another shot of the Welsh Highland railway.

We stayed at Burrs last year especially to go on the ELR - they could not have been more helpful to us by getting out a ramp to enable me to access the train. We also visited Bury market- an experience not to be missed! (I'm easily pleased)
