We have just changed our X5 for a 2020 Audi Q7 but are struggling to find towing mirrors that fit.  Has anyone got an idea where we can get some suitable ones?

I would think that Milenco mirrors will fit due to the adaptable fittings.

I had been looking at Touareg version of these.

I am guessing that the Q7 mirrors are similar if not identical to those on a Touareg. I have been using Milenco Grand Aeros on my Treg for years and they fit perfectly.

I am a big fan of the Grand Aero's

I have not towed with my new Touareg yet (delivered 20/03) but I can't get the Grand Aero clamp between the glass and the housing and the deeply lipped front edge is going to need some adaptors for peace of mind as well.

The ones I showed a link for are bespoke to the make & model of car and look very impressive.

I am waiting for someone else to take the plunge and report back.

Stephen - I don't know if the mirror design has changed - but whilst they fit perfectly on mine, sometimes it IS a bit difficult to get the bracket between the mirror lens and the housing.  It just takes a bit of wiggling about and they will slide in.  Once on, they are perfectly secure.  Just don't smash the mirror lens - they are £250 each!  (And only plastic).  I know to my cost after a scruffy motorhome smashed one of mine on a Devon road a couple of years ago.

The alternative is to fit them to the bottom of the mirror where there is more room, but that means that when they auto-fold when locking, the Aeros foul the door/window.

I have been having a closer look at fitting my Grand aero mirrors. The glass in my 2020 Touareg is very close to the housing at the top and the clamp is not going to fit, well it fits but the glass ends up tilted back and won't adjust.

I have tried fitting them to the bottom of the housing and there is plenty of room, makes me wonder if my mirrors have been glued on to the backing too high. The problem would be if I ever forgot to turn off the "folding when locked" function, or turned the mirror control knob to the wrong position (folded) by mistake, serious damage!!
