Quite annoyed
While I fully understand the club's decision to close their sites, and therefore we had to miss the funeral of a very dear friend I have known for 40 years, today. Why is the club's Market Rasen racecourse site still open? Are your Affiliated sites still open? If that is the case then why not tell us that in the email so we could have attended the funeral? Should they even be open? I don't know. Been a very distressing five weeks for us.

Condolences on losing your friend DS3. You might not be aware, but current Government guidance on funerals is that only close family, or someone from same household should attend, and under strict conditions. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-advice-for-safe-funerals-after-discussions-with-faith-leaders
My Mum lost her best friend of over 40 years some 10 days ago, not through the virus. But she cannot go to the funeral, it is simply far too dangerous for a 91 year old. We are all very upset, but these are exceptional circumstances, and we shall grieve in our own way when it is safer.
I doubt the Club could order an Affiliated Site to close, although it isn’t a good idea for it to be open if it is.🙂
Edit, it’s closed, see here https://marketrasenraces.campmanager.com/Check-Availability/

I'm afraid its been a very distressing few weeks for most of us.
The club has closed all its sites, although there are a few who still have vehicles on them as they are folk that live 365 in them. These folk have been given special permission by the government and the club to stay in one place rather than roam around the country possibly spreading the virus.
As far as I am aware ALL campsites not just the clubs were requested to close until further notice from the government.
I'm sorry that you had to miss a funeral, however you will not be the only one. Some poor folk are not even allowed to the funeral of their spouse.
