Hardly worthwhile debating what you are paying, if it’s good for both you and Club. Best that you are safe and have a degree of stability in these difficult times. Club need to consider waiving the 21 day rule as well, stay put is safer for all. Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures. 👍

It could be, of course, that given that the Club have decided to close all sites that they haven't given any thoughts to changing the pricing structure because they didn't think anyone would be using the site? On the site you are on are all the facilities open? Have you actually discussed the question of site fees with the warden?

I have asked Rowena if she can get some information on this for you on this issue.

Yes facility’s have not changed wardens working hard as usual , and we are all paying site fees , nobody is moaning about fees at all as previous stated it was an off the cuff tongue in cheek remarked 😳that got a few of us wondering ,

we are all very grateful for the government intervention and the club of course, there are only 10 on site so social distancing is great

Ruby Tuesday - if you're still looking in on the forum, are you OK now? It seems Tredegar House has arrangements in place that will solve your problem. It would be good to know that you're settled. smile

The conversation i have had ,it seems those who were on sites have been allowed to stay IF they are  emergency or key workers ,but no more  arrivals ,and those who are in storage, have access if travelling back until this Sunday,or that is how the email is worded,  but then in these times i would expect some flexibility?

I can’t comment on your conversation no key workers on here , they are full timers with no permanent home

Knowing Tredegar Park and the surrounding NT land I cant think of a safer place to sit out the pandemic..It relies of course on ALL the people there adhering to Isolation and Lockdown. Surely those who have any queries should direct them to the club.My guess is that most rules have been superceded, including membership and length of stay. Be grateful you have a safe base regardless of the nightly fee..

RT was right I would get answers completely out of context and to be ready for war 😂

yes we are all happy and very grateful as mentioned in past post , yes I also know I can ask wardens or club, but at the time it wasn’t possible , so RT encourage me to post on here ,
the NT park is out of bounds closed , nobody cares

Does that mean you don't have access to the little convenience store and Chippy just around the corner?

I'm glad to hear Ruby and fellow campers are ok. laughing

I was wondering if they had access to laundry facilities and that looks ok too, plus local shop and the big Asda,  so I wish them well.

so suck it up, although i have some sympathy for you and would wish you to stay safe, at the end of the day you chose to live in your MH, so as such you know that pitch fees increase during peak periods and if you use CAMC pitches you must have budgeted for the highs and lows. So you are on site and as you say grateful for goverment intervention and the club, so me no brainer continue to be grateful and pay the peak rate, afterall you have all the facilities and the beauty of only having 10 outfits on a 74 pitch site , so staying safe should be easy, enjoy.

I have a caravan parked up next to my bungalow, yesterday i received a renewal notice for my insurance from the club, i will have to pay this even though i cant use my caravan for the foreseable future so that it is covered for fire etc. undecided

Yes correct , in lots of ways , nobody has said they won’t pay and nobody has said they will start a fuss , and if you are not using your van for some months suspend your insurance for awhile.

I don’t think it’s so much that the answers are out of context, drip feeding the information isn’t aiding the flow of the thread!😁 it took a while to actually ascertain if it was a Club Site, and then a touch more coyness to find out which one. Add in some confusion with you stating 21 days on, 1 (or is it 2?) off, and then a few posts later telling us the 21 day rule is waived, and it’s a bit confusing. But glad you are all ok, say hello to RT👍

Park is nice, but as for Newport.....😱

..after all you have all the facilities and the beauty of only having 10 outfits on a 74 pitch site

The thing is, they don't have all the facilities. Unless I'm much mistaken, they only have a pitch, EHU and water. No loos, showers or laundry. Hardly merits top dollar.

Having a site, some isolation and quarantine should be a godsend in the present circumstances.Just be grateful for what you have.

No ! No drip feeding at all ,

CAMC sites you can stay 20 nights you may return in 24 hrs to same site if you wish and book for anther 20 days and so on

some prefer to book 21 nights and return 48 hrs

explained that many on site were full timers and when lock down happened had no full time home to go to , the club then gave grace for a few days while it was looked into I presume by there legal debt

unknown to us this was an on going problem all over the country at other CAMC sites and others , after a few days the govement  stepped in and said they could stay big relief for everyone, yes shower block open and Wardens fulfilling there duties , we have had two arrivals since so I think there’s now 12 on site , the NT house and park is closed none are complaining , most had already been in isolation for 2/3,weeks on here before the lock down anyway

If you are having to spend a night off site, surely that isn’t waiving the 21 day rule, that’s what is confusing me. Waiving it means you can stay over 21 days, which is what Club did during tanker drivers strike all those years ago. (In truth, they had no choice really, if you are out of petrol you weren’t going anywhere, but I digress....😁)

Where you spending your night/s off site?

Sorry, J&M, but TDA is right. It was initially very confusing and you had to drip feed further info so we could understand the crux of the issue. Just read the first few posts in the thread and you'll see that we were confused due to the lack of information.

Still we all got there in the end although I don’t understand the reference to 20 days when folk can stay on site for a max of 21 nights.🤷🏻‍♂️

Would also like to add , all pitch fees are being paid as normal nobody’s moaning about that either , as explained in earlier post it was a off the cuff remark about Easter /holiday pitch fees as it was published that there were to be no Easter hols this year ,

we all laughed , and nobody had an answer , I don’t think anyone has mentioned it to wardens even , but some on here took it that we were ungrateful pay up and shut up attitude
