Well that's been a very hectic few days which has seen many arguments between members, especially on social media. Now that the club has made the best and final decision we can hopefully all knuckle down together to fight this virus.

So what for the future. What will we find on the 30th June when sites MAY re-open. I have already had an email from one of three cl's I have booked offering to move my booking and deposit forward until June 2021 and I am now planning to do that. But what will happen this year. We will all have been cooked up for three months or more and will all be chomping at the bit to get back into things. There may be a mass exodus of caravanners all vying for position to move off.

We are not to bad because hopefully if this virus is beaten we are booked on a six week tour of Europe from the last week in August. If that doesn't go ahead then we will be just as pleased to take the same amount of time to tour here. Take care out there.

I would like to think you are right but I suspect scientific evidence might suggest it won't be as simple as that. The concern is that when we appear to be over the worse it could come back so whether we get back to normal any time this year is questionable. Probably best to keep an eye on China and other Asian countries who currently seem to be in the recovery stage to see if that is maintained. Perhaps when we get testing, which has been woefully lacking in the UK, up to speed we will be in a better position to judge whether we are winning?

Agree David. In China and South Korea  they locked down quickly and in S Korea expanded testing massively and followed up all contacts. In China they laid the law down and in S Korea the folks  are obedient, I am told by a Korean acquaintance.  Not quite the same here and what we do when the first wave appears over they expect a bounce back. Until we get a vaccine we are are going to be under threat. Gloomy but let's hope.

I look at our local area, the cases are rising each day, we're only at the start of this distressing time. I hope the testing increases, I hope people get the message about staying at home.

I don't know who will be getting the official letters and e mails tomorrow about the need to isolate. My thoughts are with everyone in the months ahead. I'll try to keep positive.

I’d love to think that in a relatively short period it will all be behind us, and that we can get back to normal. I do though think that we’ll do well to be able to tour this time next year. I hope I’m wrong.

I should get such a letter  as should OH. It will make little difference in as much as I had my hair very well shorn a month ago, have cancelled a dental checkup for next month and will go out purely for exercise in the sun and to shop. Sunday at 11am was quiet here. Things are settling down. Usually, when at home, we go out once a week for lunch which gives me a chef's night off. Not this week however. Our local chippie has a social distancing set up and we may make use occasionally. This year we may get to see the flowering cherry in bloom as we are usually away
