Flat Leisure Battery
Bought an Elddis 860 new 1st May 2019 and a leisure battery was installed off the shelf. Van used through the summer months. Discovered a flat battery during the summer and put it down to something being left on when in storage.
Always now check fuse box is OFF and the mover is disconnected.
Van last used 22nd November and stored with the alarm on. Discovered on a visit to storage 28th January a flat battery which was trickle charged a week later and van left with alarm OFF.
Visited yesterday and found could not set the alarm and am assuming it is flat.
Wondering whether the Tracker is flattening the battery but that seems and odd design feature.
Anyone with any ideas? Van goes for its first service 2nd April so I presume they can test and track down the source of the drain.

You don't say weather you have a solar panel fitted so the battery can charge while in storage. battery will start going flat within weeks if no solar. I never have the black button on on the PSU and the solar has kept battery charged during the winter so I have no need to keep visiting to charge/swap battery every month. If you haven't got one, get one.

No I haven't a solar panel, perhaps that is what I need, I think though I want the electrics checked over though.

My van is stored indoors so the solar panel is no help. I have to leave the alarm /tracker activated due to insurance requirements, and the battery rarely lasts more than 1 month. I have 2, with one on charge all the time and the other in the van. If the cost of 2 is an issue, you can use a normal car battery in storage whilst you charge up the leisure battery.

I had a lunar clubman 2017 with tracker and alarm set, I needed to change the battery every 4 weeks no solar panel
my new van 2019 swift challenger has a 100w solar panel, and has kept the battery fully charged with tracker and alarm and the black button on the PSU turned off
