I thought the Govt was being advised by Infectologists on their strategies FC, I would’ve thought they’d trump a GP re expertise🤷🏻‍♂️

Sorry for the late reply but just got back from lunch. To answer your question I fall into the category of not bothered about catching the virus which from talking to people in the rather crowded pub at lunch is a popular view amongst people here. Asked the landlord if he is thinking of closing and he said not until forced to which I think is sensible. No local business can afford to close for God knows how long and for what just to avoid the inevitable. Thank heavens local people seem to be sensible and are carrying on as normal

It sounds by your posts , that you are in the same category as the two "mums" who were overheard complaining that as they were not classed as in the "at risk?    " Why their holiday abroad at easter had been cancelledundecided

"I fall into the category of not bothered about catching the virus"

With respect, it's not "catching the virus" per se which is the problem is it? It's surely the possibility of catching it without realising it and the risk of passing it on to others? If you're "not bothered" about that, there's little more to say. frown

You sound by your posts just like two young mums,     that were overheard moaning that their holiday abroad had been cancelled,    , even  though they were not in the at risk groups  undecided

The club seem to be of the same opinion as me as they are keeping the sites open for business as usual. Around here we are carrying on as usual and when out walking my dogs everyone I talk to is of the same opinion, keep calm and carry on

I think we will have to accept that the area you live ,is not on the same planet,    as those who have respect for their actions, in trying to contain this virus for the sake of allundecided

Ps and if as you say "everyone?"is of the same opinionated idea  then I feel for your wellbeingfrown   Is it to much fertilizer wink

It is just irresponsible for ANYONE to move about the country when everyone is being advised to stay put and isolate whenever possible. But them some here are the very Selfish B... that we have come to expect. Think of the extra work you may put on services away from your home if you do become ill or more pertinent infect someone else.

Did you get a response,Cornwall is low in confirmed cases, you do not need an influx along the A30 escaping the hot spots.

I did, Hooker, and it was as much use as a chocolate fireguard. I felt the need to reply😝.

Indeed, I have no wish to see our already stretched resources having to cope with an influx of visitors who may well bring illness with them.

Drive on any motorway or A class road in this country and you will see lots of foreign trucks, the drivers of these trucks have probably been through country’s like Spain, Italy and France. Surely there is the possibility that they have caught the virus without realising and also risk passing it on. So why if our government is so bothered why are these trucks allowed into this country.

The foreign trucks could well be full of food items, we import lots from Europe.

    Or maybe toilet rolls....

Well, we will soon find out,  the way things are going.

But we may well be seeing less and less of those foreign trucks over the weeks to come, and, anyway, I don't see the relevance to the "not bothered" statement! undecided

Really. Years ago we didn’t have trucks from Europe delivering food we managed without and produced most of our own

"Years ago" ..... yeah, very positive!

Still don't see the relevance of foreign trucks to the "not bothered" comment (that's where you entered the conversation after all) - perhaps you could explain?

It’s March and there’s zilch growing round here! 😱

Channel 4 News had an interesting snippet on how trucks are getting through borders. Lots of testing going on.

Pliers, we have a fine crop of Rhubarb, all ready for first cut!😁
