Thetford Caprice gas hob problem

I have just purchased a new Bailey Pegasus Grande Rimini which is fitted with a Thetford Caprice Mk3 oven.  When any of the gas rings is lit the flame goes out even after keeping the knob pressed in for up to 1 minute. The only way that the rings will remain lit is when all 3 rings are lit together. However this is both dangerous and a waste of gas. As soon as 1 of the rings is turned off the other 2 turn themselves off 1 after the other so all 3 have to be lit to be able to use 1 ring. When the rings turn off there is a 'click' as each ring turns off. When the van  was demonstrated all rings were lit together and not individually.

Both the oven and grill work fine.

Has anybody experienced this problem or able to offer suggestions as to what the problem may be? It appears that the Dealer may not be interested as I am getting no response from them. To get the van back to the Dealer will involve a 260 mile round trip.

Thanks in advance.

Can't offer a suggestion other than the seller has a legal obligation to sort it ....

Maybe the seller will repay you if you get it sorted locally, that's what I did with an iffy alarm on my caravan.
