12v lights
Hi, am new to caravanning and just acquired a 2000 Lunar LX 2000 and just getting it ready to use at the end of March.
When testing to see if the leisure battery and all things 12v are working, all is not well. I seem to get 12v from the battery and a 12v socket works, the TV aerial booster has a light on it and the light for the water heater illuminates when you switch it on on the panel but none of the lights work. I have checked all fuses on the consumer unit and they are ok, but strangely the switches for the lights on the panel don’t seem to want to turn on, I have a PMS4 unit/charger, any ideas as I’m stumped?

There could well be a master switch that turns on/off all the lights and leaves socets etc running. It is usually near to the door to the outside.

We have a PMS 4 Unit on our 2004 Swift Charisma. There should be 3 toggle switches, mounted horizontally, AUX, Water Heater and Space Heater [from memory since van is being serviced at present]. Connect to the EHU, switch the Car/Van toggle switch below the illuminated AUX etc switches to 'Van' and you should have mains power, including the mains wall lights above the front windows.

As Navigateur says, there is often a master switch for the lights. Some vans have this by the bed, the idea being that you can switch all the lights off from one position before retiring.
