Had an email from a non club campsite saying that they are having VE day celebrations on the 9th May.Wonder if any club sites are or if pubs near a club site are?

Have you seen this thread here? https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/centres-rallies-special-interests/centre-news-rallies/ve-day-rallies/ Not quite what you were asking for but it might be of help.

We are going to Troutbeck Head for the VE Day weekend. There is an event on in Keswick in the main square they have bands on, stalls and are playing the last post. It looks good we are planning on going.

I don't celebrate VE Day - my mother's brother was killed.

Not for me, but each to their own.

Never sure if people were celebrating victory or welcoming the arrival of a time of peace.
Even less sure what people will be celebrating  75 years on. 🤔

Just thought it might be fun and to remember the very real sacrifices made by those generations.

There will also be VE day events at some Club Sites too. We should have some more info on the Club website soon.
