WTG - have you had one too many sherberts in your lovely Spanish site? 😀 Whoever and whenever England even look like conceding a point, his voice rises an octave or two in glorification of the impending try, especially if they're playing Wales! His affection for his home nation is admirable, as are his spats with Moore, which sadly are becoming fewer and fewer, as contracts to differing broadcasters change.

Wales certainly wouldn't have been "singing in the Valleys" quite as loudly as if they'd won but it takes two good sides to make a thrilling game, which it most certainly was.

WTG.....maybe your vino tinto not quite as strong as my bottled Italian beer (or you handle it better!) - well spotted!! (Good to know someone who knows his commentators - Gareth Davies, Jonathon Edwards, Eddie McLaren, Bill Butler.....what's in a name eh?!)  laughinglaughing

That was a cracker of a game and England have at last got their act together. I’d have said that even if the result had gone the other way. Two good sides. 👍🏻

Certain news (??) papers will be wearing big scarlet headlines for a while due to the slagging off they gave Eddie & his selections and changes. If todays England team was under performing, I'd hate to meet 'em when all was going well  innocent

Good game at HQ today, with a first half performance more than overdue. And so another fortnight of head scratching

One great game which could have gone either way, one great result as Ireland weren't allowed to play by a resurgent England, and the third game was poor fair in comparison won by the better team however. Wonder how many France will win by in a couple of weeks time? Anyone willing to place a bet on the result of the England/Wales match?

France & England to win by at least 12 in a fortnight Nellie 👍(although France's score could well be double that!)

Sadly, there's only two games this weekend following the postponement of the match in Italy due to Coronavirus. I'm really looking forward to these two fixtures, but am also intrigued to know how and when the postponed matches (assuming England's fixture, in Italy, will also be called off?) are going to be played?

    Anyone read, heard anything?

Does that include England v Wales at Twickenham tomorrow.  If so, that's good news to me, I won't be trapped at home because of the road closures, no buses, 85,000 people.  Wasn't looking forward to walking the 3 miles to my daughters house to feed the cats (she's away) especially if it is raining, I can drive there.

Only fixtures in Italy are either postponed or to be played behind closed doors (at the moment) so looks like you'll need your brolly Patmau ☔️

With the rapid spread of Covid 19 I think it is very irresponsible of the RFU to go ahead at Twickenham this afternoon.  Seemingly they would lose too much money.  So the great God mammon is more important than health.  So I wouldn't be surprised to hear we have cases locally over the next couple of weeks.  Rant over.

Yes greeted me with loud meows.  Left home at kick off so no traffic on the roads.  All fed and watered, had cuddles then came home before the end of the match.  Round 2 breakfast tomorrow but no rugby to contend with then.  England are doing well at the moment 33 to 16 and 6 mins to go.

Bit of a collapse towards the end but did manage to hold on with only 13 men on the field at the final whistle. Phew, good job they didn't have to play much longer or they could well have been beaten.

Very disappointed with England's performance in the latter stages of the game, in particular (and not for the first time) Ellis Genge. After watching a short biopic on him, it is still very evident this young man is just a thug, trying to 'better' himself in a rugby shirt. He's not the first of his kind, but with technology now controlling the game, there's no place for him.

On a slightly lighter note, the half-time chat ended with everyone in the ITV studio in fits of laughter following the breaking of rule 9.27, by Joe Marler on Alun Wyn Jones  'A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship including but not limited to grabbibg, twisting or squeezing the genitals'  Gareth Thomas is thinking about coming out of retirement!

And finally, I have a minor issue with Nellie's comment above....It was 13 against 16 for the final few minutes laughing

The 16th having the most impact. Indiscipline is the scourge that loses good teams games it usually gifts points to the opponents & kills the morale of the hard working players☹️

But which one was the 16th player, the ref or the video analyst? Perhaps you should have said 13 against 17!!wink

Anyway, come on Scotland, you can do England a big favour by beating the French today. Just got back from our walk in time to watch the match.

Great win for Scotland, and for England too. Just need a draw between Ireland and France next week ( should it get played ), as I've every faith in England beating Italy when ever they play. Not that I'm biased.wink

If it's delayed by much, Nell, even Marler could be available again, should the Coach decide to select him, which I most certainly would NOT !!  Such conduct has no place on any sports field.

Well it is now just about over, with the closing minutes of the France/Ireland game going the way of the French. The result means that England are this year's champions, after they got the bonus point son against Italy earlier today.laughing
