Help required to remove a drawer in a Bailey Cadiz
Am currently away and a document has fallen down the back of the 3 drawer unit in my Bailey Unicorn Cadiz II. This unit sits between the two settees in the front window and has the slide out half table above and is built into the sill that runs across the
windows. I mention all this because try as hard as I may I can't find any way of either removing any or all of the drawers or getting behind the panels under the settees. Lying on the carpet and using a torch I can see through the floor level vents under the
drawer unit the item I'm trying to recover but it is the depth of the drawer away and has pipes wires and wood work in the way. Apart from dismantling the unit which I can't figure out how to do the obvious thing is to take out the drawers. However I can't
find any release mechanism except the spring clips which allow you to take off the wooden drawer fronts. Can anyone help and let me into the secret of how I remove the plastic drawer carcass from its runners? Many thanks.

No need to take the draw front off
Pull out draw. Place hands either side of draw about half way along white plastic side. You will feel (see) the plastic clip's which you need to squeeze, lift, to release draw. You need some luck to release it. Hope this helps.

Our local service centre needed to repair our centre suit (Swift) under warranty. They lifted the side cushions, then removed the four very visible screws which held the entire unit in place, and lifted it out. Lifting cushions -1 min, removing 4 screws
- 1 min, lifting out unit - 30 seconds. I'm guessing that you have already spent far more time than that. Putting it back was similarly quick.0 -
Reached my next destination paid my £2 daily roaming fee and logged in to find your responses. Many thanks.
JennyC - for our previous Swift your idea would have been ideal but the Bailey is built differently. However thank you for bothering to try and help as it is people like you that make a difference and make our club great.
GrandCRV / xtrailman your help invaluable. Having lain on my back under an open drawer and glared at the plastic clips I thought they should be involved but it was only on receiving your explanations that the penny dropped and after some fiddling I extracted
the drawers. Mrs tonytourer now happy to have her lost item back plus several other missing bits we didn't even know we'd lost! It seems odd the two lower drawers have restraints attached to the drawer back but not the top one. My comments to JennyC apply
to you both as well. Getting help like this when travelling is invaluable. Many thanks again. Regards Tony0 -
i didnt see many clear pics for releasing drawers so here is a pic of the credit card releasing the catch one on each side of the drawers also a great use of club memebership card

Thanks HolidayHappy, the photo helped to confirm these are the same drawer assemblies as my 2008 Bailey Senator 6 Virginia.
Process: Credit card or long nose pliers from underneath to ping the 2 barbs of the plastic clips out of their slots each side (lie on the floor and look upwards as TonyTourer said), then from above with one hand on each side of the plastic drawer, squeeze both tabs outward, wriggle the drawer whilst pulling upwards. Bingo.
Dont forget to clip the 4 barbs of the tabs back in place after you re-fit the drawer or sooner or later you'll have a drawer full of stuff land on your toes:-)
