National Flood Agency is showing a flooding alert for Chatsworth area, and mentions Caravan Park. Nothing on Club’s Chatsworth webpage at moment, so might be a wise move for anyone due in today to check with Wardens. I will try and post a link to warning page.

Does not seem that bad here in Notts at the moment. A big catchment for Chatsworth. So some might be tempted.

Different conditions up and down country PD, we have had quite mild winds up to this morning, and only light rain. So everyone round here is out and about as normal. 20 miles away and it’s a different story.

The flooding is different, it’s not the water that drops on you on the day round here, it’s all the accumulation off the hills and Moors that reaches the rivers and deluges places a day or so later. Meadowhall Shopping Centre is looking vulnerable again.

Even in gale force winds there is always someone who thinks the weather warnings etc. is for other people.

We had it bad yesterday with torrential rain and winds but the wind has died down a bit this morning and no rain at the moment so people may well be tempted to venture out.
