Powered jockey wheel movers?

Just wondered if anyone’s got an opinion of powered jockey wheel movers.

Our van is small, approx 900kg and needs no mover on sites etc. Just that at home it’s not that easy to car reverse it the whole way back to its resting place, round a 90 degree alongside the garage. And although the block paving looks fairly flat, I’ve since learnt that it isn’t and that it’s a bit of a pain to manually push the van across the last 15 ft

So I was looking at the idea of a powered jockey wheel mover that I could keep at home, to just clip in when back, or when setting off. I’ve no aversion to the generally accepted Powrtouch type of mover but it just seemed a bit of overkill for a small Abbey Iona.

I’ve read that jockey wheel movers have their problems, bad grip due to low nose weight, puny motors, you get what you pay for etc. I must admit the ones I’ve seen so far are around £150-£200 and I’d probably be surprised if anything that cheap would be much good. But I wondered if there were higher quality units around.

The undulations in the paving are probably only around 3 degrees but you’d be surprised at how even a small van resists.

But as there’s no mud, grass etc then at least grip should be ok 🤞Distance is short too so I’d hope that nothing would be over stressed?

Thanks,

Dave
