Fuel discount card

In reinforcement of the point I made above about Pump Kings past and future processing of "our" data" their terms and conditions state :-

"Moreover, we can disclose your personal data to third parties:
●  If we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we can disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
●  If Pump-King, its business, or its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its users, suppliers, or customers will be one of the transferred assets; and
●  If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms and conditions and other agreements; or if we reasonably consider this necessary; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pump-King, our users, our customers, or others."

The conditions are not well drafted but are very wide, allowing data sharing with prospective as well as actual acquirers of the business both before and after a sale.

Presumably however the Club have obtained a specific undertaking about data destruction in 10 days time (as opposed to for example just regurgitating a Company Statement or press release) because they have made a clear and unambiguous statement above :-

"Your Pump-King account will be cancelled and your information will be securely Deleted User from Pump-King on the 17th February 2020".

Thats the address of the Registered Office. It seems to be a professional office/company registration business or whatever. There is nothing illegal about using that of course but it is unlikely to be the place of operation of the business. 

As already commented upon the terms and conditions seem to be the same as "Pump King" . The absence of a place of business (as opposed to a registered office" and the inability to phone are factors which merit consideration.

As Pump King will, it seems,no longer exist after 17th Feb i would expect the data held by Pump King will be Deleted User,but the "company?" Fuelpecker that seems to have bought the assets,will have already have the Data , so they are not giving false information when stating "the data held by Pump King will be Deleted User on the 17 Feb"

Yes I do the same, the premium comes out similar to the normal forecourt price for std diesel which is worth doing.

In Fort William our Esso station prices are often 3p per litre higher than the Oban Esso's price, although the tourists and locals get a discount when it drops to about Oban Esso prices on 2 days of the week but not I often visit Oban with work.

This means shopping between Fort and Oban rather than a fixed price, but will still loose out I feel.

This gives a indication of the reduced level of discount now to be given by fuelpecker against Pump King and what must have been agreed by CAMC  when we first allowed Pump King to be a Members OFFER

Hi Fozzie.  I had similar action when I first tried to activate . I in the end  e,mailed Fuelpecker. They sent me a different activating code and this was then successful 

..and eliminating the need to gamble on the run to an unknown off-motorway station of unknown caravan-suitability.

That's what GoogleEarth is for.  You should have a rough idea of when you will need to refuel so you check out fuel stops in that area.

Has anybody had any issues with the actual process of being charged by FP. Everything was going well until in March I bought some Premier Diesel and FP recorded it as standard diesel and only applied the 4p discount. I managed to get this sorted out in April. They 1. credited the wrong amount and 2. charged the correct amount. All went well again until the end of May. On 27th they suddenly charged me again with an amount adding up to 1 + 2 (above). In other words they charged me for fuel I had not bought. After no response to my complaints I referred it to Mastercard and they basically have agreed with me as they credited me with the invalid amount charged by FP on 27th May. Those very nice people in FP have now lost the plot as they have blocked my card due to a payment being blocked by Mastercard. CAMC what have you done to us? You've introduced us to a company who appears to have no staff, no procedures and don't seem to understand that Mastercard believes that they have made an illegal charge on my account. AND, to agree with earlier comments, they provide no information on how to contact them. I only achieved it the first time (back in March) by replying to the email in which they sent the invoice. This has failed this time around. I am about to contact the club and seek their views. BEWARE everybody
