Truma ultraflow waterline
Hi
Although not a newbie, we are considering buying a truma ultraflow waterline to connect to mains water on a serviced pitch in Spain. I know the water pressure can be high and wondered if any fellow caravanners could share their experiences of using the T.U.W and whether they are recommended. Previous posts on here are relatively old ones and the T.U.W may have been altered since then.

We did look at the Whale version when we had a caravan. They contain pressure reducers to avoid overloading the van system. The Truma one specifically states, Comes with fittings and a special pressure reducing valve. However, we preferred the ball valve in an aqua roll system, although even that had a pressure reducer to avoid possible damage to the ball mechanism. There is always the option of not turning the tap on fully. Unless of course it's one of those on or off types. The thing we liked with the aqua roll system was that if we switched the pump off as we left on the panel by the door, there was no risk of a leak. Where as unless you make a point of turning the tap off, with a direct system there is.

We've been using one for the whole time we've had the caravan with no issues.
If you are concerned about accident or incident, you can always turn the supply tap off before you pop out for the day. If you have an onboard tank you can fill and still have a supply of water on tap.
The fear of flooding your caravan appears the main reason for non adoption. Irrational in our experience.
Then again, the world is flat
