PumpKing Closing

Just had an email from PumpKing to say that they have sold the business to Horizon Fuels and the PumpKing card will no longer be valid after 17th February. Discount at a fixed rate will be available as from that date under the Fuelpecker card for which you have to sign up. Discount for Esso standard diesel is shown to be 4p per litre. The card is also valid at Shell stations but the discount is much less. The discount is 6p at Esso motorway sites and is also available in Europe.

Two questions. 1) Is this a scam of some sort ?  2) Will this card be promoted by CaMC ?

Perhaps someone from the club would care to answer these questions.

Had the same email this afternoon. Given that I only signed up for the Esso Card a couple of weeks ago and that I've only used it once it makes me very suspicious. I certainly won't be clicking on the link in the email without a lot more evidence that it's not a scam.

    Hi JohnM20,

Thanks for posting about this. It is a genuine communication and not a scam and as DSB has pointed out the website has now been updated too.

I have just posted a discussion about this which you can read here: Fuel Discount Card

I will close this discussion to avoid duplication but thank you for posting.
