Grande Brindisi
looking at buying the bailey grande brindisi 8ft wide van
anyone got one ? how do you rate it ? any problems since buying it
does the heating heat the rear of the van at the toilet wash shower area as our swift major 4sb the warm air hose for the rear is actually underneath the caravan and is not insulated so the air is cold by the time it gets to the washroom.
on the bailey the same hose is ran internally.

Our Knaus is 8' wide and in the last year, I haven't come across any problems towing it. Yes. you have to be careful where you take it, but that applied to our previous Barcelona, as well. I don't do Devon / Cornwall narrow lanes and tend to go for sites with reasonable access, but we still manage to get to a fair few CLs and CS's.
One mistake I have nearly made is when parking up in, say, a lay-by, just make sure you leave a bit of extra room between the car and the kerb, otherwise the van wheels will hit the kerb. Bit obvious really - but it nearly caught me out the first time.
I have had to get extension arms for my Milenco towing mirrors.
With regard to heating - last van had Alde, this one has Truma. Swings and roundabouts, really. Truma heats up more quickly, Alde is more 'all round' heat. Bathroom is / was cold in both of them, but a fan heater in winter soon cures that.
