Alde Heating shutting down
I now I have popped this in this section even though some motor homes have Alde heating fitted, but can any one shed any light on how to turn off the heating when packing up to go home.
I turn off both heating and hot water on panel,so the green light is extinguished, then I turn off the panel switch so the green indicator light is off, then last of all the 12v master, the reason for this is when at next site or even a my storage compound when mains is reconnected and 12v master turned on the heating and hot water settings are saved,i.e.already turned on.
I have noticed this before, and now my dealer has mentioned it on servicing. How do others shut down the Alde system.

We probably have an older version than yours, the 3010 I think ours is, but we do have a newer control panel.
When leaving we turn the CH and HW systems on the controller to off, and remove the mains electricity by stepping it down from 2kw, through 1kw and then it goes to no supply. On ours it is then shut down.
We rarely turn off the mains breaker for it, so turning on again is just a reverse of the above. We never touch the 12v supply to it.
When we hitch up to tow, the habitation relay turns off the 12v and the controller screen goes blank. When we arrive at the next site and select caravan power, the screen comes back to life.
When we turn it on again the settings on it such as temperature and other programmed functions are still there, as is the day and time as we have battery back up fitted

I have mine set to temperature and when I leave a site I simply use the button on bottom left of the control to switch it off. I touch nothing else at this time. When I arrive at next destination, after I have hooked up, I switch electricity on and then switch of the Alde at the bottom left button again.

I just turn off the Alde using the button bottom left, (the on/off switch). But KjellNN makes a good point. I have found that when plugging in to EHU on arrival, the fridge powers up and the Alde starts heating the water and if cold, the heating. This big draw on electric can trip low ampage points especially in Europe where a lot of sites are 6 or 8 amp EHU.
On the 3020 there is a way of limiting the ampage draw on one of the buttons. There is a YouTube video that shows how to do this.

Thanks for the reply,I see there is various ways people shut down their systems.
Am due to pop out the storage site soon and will see if settings are retained. It is KjellNN issue with different site ampage especially as I just returned from a 10amp site (Oxford CCC)
Apperly I have the 3020 and didn't think I have the current limiter fitted.

Our van is from 2008, a Swift Group twin axle, one of the first of the "lesser models" to be fitted with the Alde system. It did not come with the battery back up, or the load monitor, our dealer fitted the battery back up as we complained about it losing day and time settings, and I purchased the load monitor direct from Alde and fitted it myself. We also have the early model remote control box which allows us to turn on the heating via a text, and interrogate it as to the exact location of the van.
When our original control panel failed last year, we upgraded to the easier to use newer version, but the load monitor and battery back up still work as before.
Our fridge does not self select, so nothing starts up immediately other than the charger. Quite often we will run the Alde on gas on arrival as it heats the van faster, and allows us to use a small electric fan heater for instant warmth if required.
We also frequently use it on gas abroad, especially when electricity is metered. We have a refillable gas system fitted.
